Innjoo Fire 3 Vs Infinix Note 3 Vs Tecno C9 – Compare Specs & Price of Latest Innjoo Fire, Infinix Hot Note and Tecno Camon C9 Android – Find Which is Better

When we are talking about latest high-end smartphones in the Nigerian market, two of the device names above wouldn’t seem alien to you. One of them would, however, get you wondering what this article is about, and I’m sure that’s the Innjoo Fire 3. We all know Innjoo’s popularity in the Nigerian smartphone market has gone down recently, but that doesn’t mean all of its products are not good. The Innjoo Fire 3 is one smartphone that can hold its own (in some aspects) against a number of high-end smartphones nowadays, including the Infinix Note 3 and Tecno Camon C9. Don’t think so? Join me as I compare the Infinix Note 3, Innjoo Fire 3 and the Tecno Camon C9 in order to find out the areas in which they are better than each other.

In this article, I pit Infinix’s flagship Note 3 against Tecno’s camera-centric Camon C9 and Innjoo’s trailblazer Fire 3. I’m going to compare them according to their specifications (display, design, memory, battery, hardware, software, etc) and when I’m done, I’ll leave you to choose which one is best for you. Enjoy.

Innjoo Fire 3 vs Infinix Note 3 vs Tecno Camon C9 – Device Comparison

To make it easier for you to breeze through here is a table of contents. Click on any of them to jump to the content:

Display & Design

The three smartphones are each beautiful and exquisitely designed in their own rights, and it’s a good thing to know that they are all designed with metal (aluminium) – shows class and premium quality. Of the three, however, the Camon C9 is the only one that has a unibody design.

Coming to the display and screen size, the Infinix Note 3 is the largest in the pack, sporting a 6.0 inches wide display, while the other two have 5.5-inch displays.

Moving over to pixel resolution, however, the Fire 3 starts to fall behind. It has a pixel resolution of 1080 * 720 (HD) which to me sounds old-fashioned already, compared to the Full HD 1920 * 1080 pixel resolution of the Note 3 and Camon C9. Same is the case in the aspect of pixel density; the Fire 3 comes behind with a pixel density of 297ppi while the Note 3 and Camon C9 are levels with 367ppi.

Performance & Storage

The Note 3 and Camon C9 were released this year and they have newer Octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processors running on 64-bit architecture in their SoCs. The Note 3 actually has a second variant which uses an advanced Helio X10 MT6795 processor. The Fire 3 trails them with its Quad-core MT6737 Processor.

The speed of the processors in the three smartphones is basically the same – 1.3GHz. But you and I know that this doesn’t mean they’d work on the same level; it depends on other factors like GPU (they all use Mali-T720 GPUs) and RAM size, which leads us to the next point of comparison.

The three smartphones are similar here also; they all have 2GB RAM capacities and 16GB internal memory, which is expandable in different proportions. The Note 3, however, has a variant called the Infinix Note 3 Pro with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, but since it’s the standard Note 3 we’re comparing here, that can’t be counted as a point against the others.

Software & Hardware

Let me lay it bare; the three smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box. It’s the extra software modifications layered on top of each that we’re comparing here.

The Infinix Note 3 comes with the latest version of Infinix Mobile’s custom UI, Chameleon XOS v1.0. This is a re-branded version of XUI present on the Hot 2, and more features and optimisations have been thrown into the mix to make it more attractive. One good example is its Freezer which helps to keep power-hungry apps in check.

The Tecno Camon C9 is bundled with Tecno’s HiOS version 1.0, which is better than what you would find on the Tecno L8. Most prominent amongst its new features is Boom Player. If you want to know what it does, ask Tecno Boom J8 users.

For the Innjoo Fire 3, the UI has not been branded, but it comes with its own modifications all the same.

On the hardware side, they all except the Camon C9 have fingerprint scanners for security through biometric verification.

The Tecno Camon C9 heads the pack here with a 13MP rear camera and autofocus. Though the remaining two devices have the same rear camera specifications, the quality of Tecno cameras, especially those in the Camon series can’t be compared.

The Camon C9 totally nails it at the front where it matters; it has a 13MP selfie camera also with LED flash and Iris biometric scanner. The Note 3 follows with a 5MP front camera + LED Flash, while the Fire 3 is last with a sole 5MP front camera unit.

Battery & Charging

The battery capacity of the Infinix Note 3 was the high point of advertisements prior to its launch; it comes with a 4,500mAh battery with fast charge capabilities. The Tecno Camon C9 has a battery capacity of 3,000mAh which is the same found on the Innjoo Fire 3.

The devices have different specifications and would obviously be priced differently, so what I’m going to do here is to determine if each of the three smartphones are worth the price tag slammed on it.

Let me start with the Innjoo Fire 3. It hasn’t been released yet but is expected to sell around the price of the Tecno Camon C9, which sells for around N50,000 in Nigeria. For me, that price is too much for the Innjoo Fire 3 when compared to the Camon C9. Want to know why? Read this article again from the beginning and you’ll get your answer.

As for the Note 3, at its launch, it was promised that the price would be N54,700, but currently the phone for N61,000 at its cheapest. I personally think that 54.7k price was good for it, but anything over 60k is outrageous to me, considering the fact that the phone doesn’t support 4G LTE networks…Ahhh, I forgot to mention that in my comparison; the Camon C9 and Fire 3 support 4G (LTE & FDD respectively), while the Note 3 is stuck on 3G. That’s one major downside with this beast of a phone.

So, which do you think is the best among the Innjoo Fire 3, Infinix Note 3 and Tecno Camon C9 based on our comparison above?
